The 2013 Annual General Meeting of Fisher Society Ltd will take place on Friday 21st June, 6pm at Canada Water Library.

This year’s AGM will see an important update and member resolution relating to our campaign to bring Fisher home, so it is crucial that as many members as possible attend. New members are welcome to join on the night, and if you are interested in seeing Fisher back at the heart of our community please do come along.

The meeting will also deal with the presentation of the accounts, receive the club’s annual report and will also see the election of directors to the Fisher board.

Fisher are constituted on a co-operative basis which means that each member of the club holds an equal share, and has equal voting rights to everybody else (including the directors, and chair). Fisher members are the real owners of the club, and as our membership grows the club becomes stronger.

After the formal business of the meeting, an informal session will be held with the Fisher FC first team manager Billy Walton and his coaching team.

As well as 2013-14 membership, you will also be able to purchase your 2013-14 Fisher season ticket at the meetings – and if you purchase a season ticket at the AGM prices are frozen at 2012-13 levels, costing just £90 for adults and £50 for concessions. With the Kent Premier League expanding this season, this is a bargain not to be missed as you’ll get more games next season for the same price!

To find out more about the AGM, download our AGM guide and the Fisher FAQ. We’ll add an agenda to the site shortly.

Stand for election

All Fisher FC members are able to stand for election to the board of directors, and we’d like to encourage as many of you as possible to consider putting yourselves forward. The primary qualifications for being a director are simply that you are a fan and member of the club, and believe that you can contribute at board level to helping Fisher achieve our objectives.

We’d especially like to see applications from anyone with a professional skill or experience that they believe might aid the club. In particular we are keen to see additional financial and accounting expertise on the board. We would also welcome interest from individuals who are involved in other local voluntary and community groups.

To find out more and apply, download the election nomination form. Or for more information and an informal discussion, contact

Don’t fancy being a director, but want to help the club out? We always have opportunities for people who want to volunteer, whether it is to gain experience and skills or simply to lend a hand to your community-owned club.

Volunteering opportunities with Fisher start with a commitment of just a few hours per month, so if you want to help drop us a line and let us know what you think you can contribute. We’re bound to have something that suits you!
