4-1 was a harsh scoreline – thought our first half performance was very encouraging and we coped well with the conditions and abysmal pitch. Even in the second half we had a lot of the play but their forwards had a red hot day. 19 times out of 20 those two shots threaten the floodlights, just our poor luck they’ve nestled in the net….

Hope the squad can rally, roll their sleeves up and finish the season strongly. A lot of good work has been put in this season and the club has certainly moved forward. Don’t let a couple of poor results on the road bring down what we’re all trying to build.

C’MON THE FISH !!!!

Excellent news. Perhaps we should post it on the Supporters Direct website as an example of what a supporters’ trust club in the lower leagues can do.

Chesterfield go to Wembley on 25 March, 90 minutes from the Johnstones Paint Trophy. Yeassss.

Well I managed only 75 minutes of singing before realising that Khushbir was turning blue! Tunbridge were a strong side, but we didn’t help ourselves – first goal came from a missed challenge by George, the third came I think after Peter tried a backheel in the centre circle. That said we could have been dead and buried at half time, and yet the boys hung in there, and there was hope at the break with it only 3-1. Pitch was awful, but we didn’t change our game plan to reflect it. And we’re badly missing some muscle along the spine (if that’s not too much of a medical analogy).

Anyway looking forward to Greenwich Borough and the return of Kris Hollidge.

Tough match to talk about because it was all downhill from the start, the only highlights being the 90mins of singing by the Fisher faithful

Disapointing result, can’t fault the work rate, just no end result.Once again the defence stood firm,
but we need to create more, and take any chances we do create.Playing the ball on the deck is
one answer,there’s no point playing high ball’s up to our front players, as obviously we dont have
the strikers to accomodate playing that way.Here’s to concentrating on the league.Come On The
Fish..

Much of what I was going to post has already been said, I do think we miss Danny Hunt Peter and he were a real handful earlier on in the season, just like they were at GB last last season.
